TGSB is one of the leading School Bands in the North, and has a valued local reputation. We regularly perform in this country and abroad. Joint concerts with bands such as the 'Reg Vardy Band' - the leading band of the North are considered to be one of the highlights of the years programme.

Our Big Band has performed on Radio and National TV . Other highlights in recent years have include performing with NYJO - the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, The Royal Marines Band, and leading international soloists.

Since the band was founded in 1982 we have made a number of international visits, the most recent was our visit to Barcelona - Spain earlier this year. More details in the tours section.
